Business Items needing association vote
at the 9 April meeting:
1. Resignation of Claire Moody as secretary necessitates voting for a new secretary. Gavin McClaskey will be presented for vote of association members to serve as secretary. 2. Bylaws, section 1. which states, "The officers of this association shall be president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer", changed to read "The officers of this association shall be president, vice president - programs, vice president - events, secretary, and treasurer". Reason for this action of adding a 2nd vice president is to give an odd number of members serving on the Executive Committee, facilitating better business practices. Vote of association members required. 3. Move that Rick Stelzig serve as Vice President - Events. Vote of association members required. 4. Pam Burke title changed to be Vice President - Programs. Vote not necessary. For information, the programs, promotions, purchasing, and outreach teams are hereby disolved. The education and foraging teams remain as constituted, both these teams are functioning exceptionally well. The functions that were intended to be performed by the other teams will be handled by the Executive Committe. Volunteers for programs, e.g., setting up and taking down chairs, and cleaning up after our meetings, and bringing snacks to meetings are still desired - please work with the VP-Programs, Pam Burke. Volunteers for all events are still desired - please work with the VP-Events, Rick Stelzig.
