The effect of wind on honey bees

    I get a weekly bee article every Friday from TheApiarist.org, a scientist beekeeper in Scotland. It's free. If you subscribe you can go into the website and read  interesting articles (for the most part).

    Sometimes they are scientific and difficult for me to understand. Today's was very complicated but I got a little out of it.  It's on how bees fly in windy weather.  I've long thought one of the many reasons it's hard to keep colonies alive in Tillamook is because they have have a shorter life span, their wings wearing out quicker with our winds.
