I just bought 40 deep frames of capped honey from Patrick Sullivan. He didn't want to extract them because he thought there might be some sugar water in some of them. He couldn't remember. The honey is mostly knotweed. He suggested we use them to feed bees.
I paid him $10 a frame which I think is a great price considering undrawn deep comb is $3.80 a piece. So I'm getting drawn comb and honey.
If you are a new beekeeper, a comb or two would be great to help you get your nuc started. I'm thinking it would be best to place an order with me to hold some for you but not take them until right before you get your bees. When we take the frames apart there could be quite a bit of drippage. Send me an email to my personal email. clairemoody503@gmail.com.
If you have a colony right now that's in danger of starvation it would also be a good thing to get.
