Another option is to put the frames in a freezer for 24 hours to kill the moth eggs and then seal them. I then put them in a tote or in a large garbage bag closed up tightly.

I'm sure the paramoth works.  I just have never used it.

I have seen more cases of Wax Moth this year than ever.

Dummy me....I just threw 8 frames in the trash, because I didn't follow my own teaching.

This is a problem with an easy solution.  When storing your frames, either after extracting honey or for the winter or both, simply apply 3 table spoons of Para-Moth on a paper plate on top of the boxes of frames.

You need to ensure that the boxes are tightly stacked.  Put some newspaper on the floor you are stacking them on.  Place the second and subsequent boxes on top and make sure everything is absolutely tight.  You might even tape the seams if you are unsure.  On the very top box, place a paper plate or similar paper on top and apply 3 table spoons of Para-Moth.

Now, make sure to place a tight lid on the stack of boxes.  You can use an extra hive cover, or I use a large cookie sheet big enough to cover the boxes and I add something heavy on top of that to hold it in place.

Check on the boxes every month or so during the winter and repeat if the crystals are evaporated.
