    Not true.

(2)(a) The State Department of Agriculture shall classify as a restricted-use pesticide any pesticide that contains a chemical belonging to the neonicotinoid class of chemicals, including acetamiprid, clothianidin, dinotefuran, imidacloprid, nitenpyram, nithiazine, thiacloprid, thiamethoxam or any other chemical designated by the department as belonging to the neonicotinoid class of chemicals.

The exception deal with fleas and ticks, etc.

It's only going to effect residential application.

"Prohibits application of restricted-use neonicotinoid pesticides on residential landscapes, subject to certain exceptions."

"(4) Subsection (3) of this section does not apply to the following applications or uses of a restricted neonicotinoid pesticide by a licensed applicator:"

Noenicitinoids are highly toxic to pollinators generally. Neonicotinoids were recently banned in the United Kingdom, and I have read that the suspension of these chemicals has not reduced crop success.

    Just sayin'

The bill itself is rather brief and readable and can be reviewed here:

I am not asking that you support this Bill or not.  I am just making you aware of it.  If you wish to support it, call or write your representatives in governmentPersonally, I am not sure that neonicotinoids, in and of themselves, are the problem.  But clearly, our honey bees don't need one more chemical to add to their humongous issues already.  I report, you decide!
